What Clients Say About Us
I was lost and did not know where to turn, but Broadway accepted me with open arms. I came in as a man with no direction, and my life was in a state of emergency. I completely demoralized myself and could not live on life’s terms. Broadway Treatment Center quickly changed the way I thought and acted. I would not be where I am today without the help I received from this wonderful facility. I will forever be in debt to the staff members who never gave up on me when I was struggling. I thank God every day for this program and how it saved my life.
When I first came to Broadway I found every reason why staying clean wouldn’t work. I didn’t care who I was hurting, I tried to prove I knew what was best. We were kicked out, went home, and relapsed. After the relapse, I could finally see my life clearly. God gave us a spiritual awakening. We called Broadway and begged to come back and they let us. They always saw the best in people. The plan was to complete the program and move on with our lives. Instead, I found hope. The love and compassion the staff showed me felt abnormal. I can’t express how grateful I am for Broadway helping me build and save my life.
With a little bit of surrender and willingness, Broadway taught me to live responsibly as a man of character, accountability, and integrity. I learned to live life on life’s terms. Broadway provided me with the knowledge, coping skills, and foundation necessary to live a life free of drugs. They showed me not only how to love myself but to love others as well. The staff at BTC were extremely nice, loving, and understanding. It stands apart from every other rehab I have been too.
During my stay, I took all of the instruction and criticism I could receive. I took advantage of the staff and talked to them, did one on ones, used up every minute I could force out. The counselors blew me away, the groups were phenomenal. I have always been the black sheep and argumentative rebel. No one understood my gypsy-like mentality. Always running, adventuring, never being tied down to one place. Independent. Broadway broke that. I became vulnerable. I got to talk about my demons and not be punished. I was understood. I was loved until I could love myself. These people believed in me. I became an investment.
Before I came to Broadway Treatment Center I was a lost and broken individual going down the wrong path to nowhere. During my 90 days in the program I gained my confidence and self-respect back, and also got serious about a passion of mine. Now I can say I am ready to be a fully functional member of society and have an impact on the world. I am now an employee for BTC as the chef with plans to go to culinary school.
Broadway Treatment Center was the first place throughout my entire life I could truly relate to others who also struggled with addiction. At first I was hesitant, but after I surrendered I became willing to try and live through someone else’s instruction. During my stay I was introduced to Alcoholics Anonymous. I learned a new way of life through Intensive Outpatient classes taught by outstanding counselors. I am proud to have grown into the person I am today and I thank Broadway for taking my hand and making me recognize my worth. I have accumulated a year of sobriety and the ongoing support that this company continues to show is indescribable. I am grateful for my life today.
The staff and clients at Broadway understood me, didn’t judge me, and gave me a sense of belonging. The classes they offered taught me valuable life lessons such as how to be honest, compassionate, responsible, and trustworthy. I have been given the opportunity to have a life again and I get the privilege to help others who struggle just as I did. Broadway went above and beyond to give me individualized care and support. That support led to me being able to be a part of my daughter’s life again, being a part of my family again, living in my own apartment, paying my own bills, and sharing my experience with the new people that come into our center. I have almost a year of being sober and the foundation to my life was built by Broadway.
During the course of my life I have burned many bridges and have been to the depths of hell and back. I found myself at thirty years of age caught in the grips of addiction one more time, losing another job, running from parental duties, not to mention robbing and stealing from everyone I came into contact with. I knew it was going to be prison or death if I didn’t get the help I needed. In the midst, I found Broadway Treatment Center. The staff was inviting, truly cared about my wellbeing, and told me that they would help if I was ready. Since that day, they have been here for me through everything since that day. My journey with Broadway Treatment Center has been the biggest blessing in my life.
